I could write this in the 3rd person and pretend I don't edit my own website, but what's the fun in that! My musical journey has taken me from my home state of Connecticut, to New York City, Philadelphia, and now Nashville. To say that these places and experiences shaped my life and music is an understatement. I'm grateful for every day and know I'm one lucky SOB! So here's my story in brief...

A brief stint working as an intern at Atlantic Records in New York was what I'd call the beginning of my pursuit in the business of music. It was an eye opening experience in so many ways, but most importantly it reminded me that I wanted to create the music, not work behind the scenes. I got my degree from the HARTT school of music (and more importantly from the "school of life"), grabbed a pen and paper, put my hands on a piano, and started to write about the things that mattered most to me.

My time in New York was spent working like a dog, singing demos for songwriters, and recording my own material in between. Most memorable to me was this tiny little studio I worked in on 33rd street. The room was no bigger than 8'x10' and the engineer chain smoked! I went home smelling like I rolled in ashes, but the music came out great - lol.

Following that time in NY (and Philadelphia) I fell in love with country music. I couldn't believe my ears and was hooked on artists like Rascal Flatts, Keith Urban, Carrie Underwood, and even some Brooks and Dunn! The reasons are endless, but one huge reason that I have so much respect for country music is its focus on the song and the quality of the work, both from a writer's and musician's point of view. Bottom line- ahhh music :-)

My next 8 song album was self produced and featured all original material that blended pop and R&B into a country sound. The title track "American Dream" was the clear crowd pleaser and got the attention from writers and reps of the Nashville Songwriter's Association (NSAI). Publishers were hearing my music and I was taking their feedback very seriously. Through these connections in Nashville and a new focus, I started writing what is now my second release, a 5 song EP "World's Gonna End Tomorrow", produced in the one and only Music City at Studio 515 (aka Nashville Demo Studio).

You might hear elements of soul and a clear influence from Motown and pop-country acts like Rascal Flatts. When I play out I've got people asking me to "play American Dream!" or "sing that World's Gonna End song!"... it's inspiring to know people are loving what I do.  AND... I'm thankful that you are here on my website, have read this far down into my garble, and that you checked out the tunes. I'm on iTunes (the new stuff isn't up yet but should be soon!) and make sure to drop by my Facebook fanpage and come "Like" me.
